BRONCO REBUILD UPDATE: Things Are Starting to Come Together!

Howdy Jasper drivers, Ruxer Ford here with a small update on our ongoing rebuild project: things are really coming along nicely. We've accomplished a lot of the mechanical work and we'll be moving on to more aesthetic changes soon. You'll find a more detailed update below, but we wanted to remind everyone why we're taking on such a huge rebuild.

There is a new Ford Bronco on the horizon, slated for 2020, so in part, we're drumming up excitement for the day when the Ford Bronco lives again, but our project has a deeper, more personal mission, too. We're going to be raising money for the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Dubois County during the upcoming 2018 "100 Men Who Cook" event. The fully rebuilt Bronco will go on auction, with 100% of the profits going toward our community partners, the CASA of Dubois County.

What's Happened So Far?

We've been hard at work rebuilding this 1976 legend from the frame up. The transmission work was finished recently, on the 6th of this month, which means we can move on to installing the roll cage soon!

What's Left to Be Done?

There is still a long road of work ahead, but we're beginning to see things take shape. Like we mentioned, the roll cage will be the next piece of the puzzle we put down, and then there are a few more weeks of fabrication work to finish up. After that, it's just the re-teardown and paint job left.

But that's where we need your help! Starting next week, Monday, February 12, we'll be opening up a little contest of sorts, so folks here in Jasper and our neighbors from Washington, French Lick, Huntingburg, and Petersburg, IN can vote on their favorite exterior color. There will be 12 choices in all, including "Grabber Green, Grabber Orange, Lightning Blue, Magnetic, White Pearl, and Silver."

We can't wait to see what you'll choose, so be sure to check in on our page, Bronco Reborn, and cast your vote!
