With eight trims on offer that range from the base XL to the off-road Raptor, Ford buyers are spoiled for choice when it comes to the F-150. But now, a new configuration is being added to the mix called the F-150 Rattler. The Rattler marks another off-road package for this model. We'll be going over what the new Rattler trims can provide, so let's dive in.

Highlights of the Ford F-150 Rattler

Based on the four-wheel-drive F-150 XL model, the Ford F-150 Rattler, which starts at under $40,000, includes some equipment found in the FX4 package. This equipment includes an electronic locking rear differential, hill descent control, and off-road-tuned shock absorbers. When going off-road near Washington, IN, drivers will find skid plates that help protect the fuel tank, transfer case, and front differential. Drivers may also notice that the Rattler is fitted with all-terrain tires to conquer any environment easily.

The Rattler is only available as a SuperCab or SuperCrew and requires selecting one of the optional engine options. The Rattler can be powered by either a twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6, 5.0-liter V8, or twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6.

While the Rattler offers some impressive features, it also has a nice design both inside and out. A dual exhaust system helps accent the bold sound they produce and painted 18-inch aluminum wheels add to the truck's overall outer appearance, as does the badging on the fender and rattlesnake-inspired graphics. Venture inside the cabin, and Huntingburg drivers will notice onyx seats with burnished bronze accents and matching stitching.
