About the Role
Ruxer Truck Center in Jasper, IN is looking for an experienced Heavy Truck
Mechanic who specializes in alignment, kingpin replacement, and suspension
work. This is a hands-on role focused on steering and suspension repairs on
heavy-duty trucks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform front-end alignments on heavy trucks and trailers
- Replace kingpins, bushings, and related steering components
- Diagnose and repair suspension systems (leaf springs, air ride, shocks, etc.)
- Conduct thorough inspections of steering, suspension, and related systems
- Perform general heavy truck repairs and maintenance as needed
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
- Work efficiently and safely while meeting quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heavy Truck Mechanic with strong focus on alignment, kingpin replacement, and suspension work
- Solid understanding of heavy-duty truck steering and suspension systems
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex issues
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Must have own tools
- Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
- Welding experience (MIG/TIG)
- Valid CDL
- Professional alignment experience on heavy trucks
- ASE certifications (Medium/Heavy Duty or similar)
