Used VS CPO | Which holds the best value? Which is the better deal?
When it comes to comparing general pre-owned to certified pre-owned (CPO), one of the first places of difference is price; in general, a CPO car, crossover, SUV, or truck will be the more expensive option, but CPO models do hold the price-advantage over new models. So, while general pre-owned inventory is often the least expensive option, it doesn't bring with it the same benefits as our CPO Ford inventory, all of which offer a robust CPO Limited Warranty and 24/7 Roadside Assistance.
Another key difference between used and CPO is the pre-listing investment; a CPO vehicle has a few more hurdles to clear before becoming part our inventory than a general pre-owned vehicle, and that's because the Ford CPO program has nationwide guidelines about which vehicles make the cut. When it comes to our general pre-owned inventory, we assess it for safety and quality, but it isn't held to the same standards as a CPO vehicle, and some folks place a lot of value in those pre-listing requirements holding CPO Fords to a higher bar than a general used vehicle.
